America’s 11 Most Endangered Historic Places 2022
For 35 years, the America’s 11 Most Endangered Historic Places list has highlighted places under threat across the United States. Placement on the 11 Most list can be a powerful tool for raising the profile of included places, helping them attract attention, funding, and support. The National Trust announced the most recent list on May 4, 2022. In this session, hear directly from advocates for three places included in the 2022 list: Minidoka National Historic Site in Jerome, ID; the Chicano/a/x Murals of Colorado; and Palmer Memorial Institute in Sedalia, North Carolina. Learn about the stories of these places and how inclusion on the 11 Most Endangered list can be part of the solution to help them towards a brighter future.

Panelists:
Tanesha Anthony, Site Manager, Charlotte Hawkins Brown Museum
Robyn Achilles, Executive Director, Friends of Minidoka
Lucha Martínez de Luna, Director, Chicano/a/x Murals of Colorado Project
